aquilo IV
AQUILO IV is one of the most unique rockets in the AQUILO family. Besides it’s physical appearance being bright pink, instead of the usual black, the main difference of AQUILO IV from it’s siblings would be it’s composition.
All rockets before and after AQUILO IV are made of mainly carbon fiber and/or metals, but AQUILO IV is made out of bio-composites.
AQUILO IV uses a solid fuel rocket engine supplied by NERO. Called the PB-51, which uses KNSB to power the rocket.
Unfortunately, AQUILO IV did not pass the safety requirements set by NERO and the launch site. Therefore, the rocket was never launched. It now has a special place at the AQUILO Office at Inholland Delft and serves its purpose as a point of interest for new students and potential new AQUILO members.
