Aquilo IX Design Reveal
What does two years of innovation, ambition, and teamwork look like? On April 15, at Yuri’s Night in Inholland Lab, the answer was unveiled: AQUILO IX. This isn’t just another rocket—it’s our most daring project yet, built to redefine what our team can achieve.

Yuri’s night was an event full of games and many other things. Some events include landing on Mars and trying to land the space shuttle at the InHolland flight simulator. After some time where people were gathering and playing minigames, it was our time to shine. Lights were dimmed, followed by a brief presentation from our Team Manager, Ellen May Kelly and our Head of Propulsion, Emma Oberlé. They presented our team and the future participation in EuRoc, where we plan on entering the 3 kilometre category, where, as the name suggests, the aim is to reach an apogee (highest point) as close to 3 kilometres as possible. Next, the Board members unveiled the blanket that was covering the rocket, allowing all attendees to admire our creation. Following the reveal, all Aquilo members present were invited to the stage. After addressing the attendees’ questions, the event continued, and pictures were taken to commemorate the evening. We would like to express our gratitude to all members present and attendees of Yuri’s Night and especially Inholland for hosting the event and allowing us to have our reveal at it.
We would like to thank our sponsors and collaborators who made AQUILO IX possible; without you, there would not have been AQUILO IX
